Your Role

As the Product Manager for our Business Intelligence (BI) product at RoomPriceGenie, you will be responsible for shaping and enhancing our revenue reporting solutions for hotels. Your mission will be to create intuitive, data-driven tools that empower hotel managers to monitor performance, compare against benchmarks, and develop revenue strategies that drive business growth. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver features that align with our product pillars: easy to use, transparent, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Vision & Strategy:

    • Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for our BI tools, aligning with company goals and customer needs.

    • Leverage customer feedback and market insights to ensure the BI product delivers on its core goals:

      • Track & Analyze Key KPIs: Provide users with a comprehensive view of essential metrics like Revenue, Occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR, including year-over-year comparisons.

      • Budget vs. Forecast: Enable users to set budgets and compare them to revenue forecasts based on historical reservations, pickup trends, and market data.

      • In-depth Financial Analysis: Offer detailed insights into performance by room type, weekday, booking channel, and customer segment.

      • Data-Driven Revenue Strategies: Empower users to formulate strategies by analyzing performance trends, pickup patterns, and detailed insights.Multi-property Comparison & Filtering: Support advanced data aggregation, filtering, and comparisons across multiple properties.

  • Feature Development:

    • Translate customer needs and business objectives into well-scoped requirements and user stories for new features.

    • Own the end-to-end delivery of features, ensuring they meet quality and usability standards.

    • Prioritize features and improvements using frameworks like RICE or MoSCoW, balancing customer impact with technical feasibility.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Act as the bridge between customers, internal teams (e.g., Sales, Customer Success), and development teams to align priorities and goals.

    • Collaborate with the Revenue Management and Integration teams to ensure seamless data flows and accurate reporting.

  • Customer-Centric Mindset:

    • Engage with customers to deeply understand their revenue reporting challenges and opportunities for growth.

    • Drive initiatives to improve user adoption and satisfaction, leveraging feedback to refine the product.

  • Data-Driven Decisions:

    • Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure the BI reporting pipeline is robust and scalable.

    • Define and monitor KPIs for the BI product, ensuring it meets customer needs for actionable insights and strategic planning.

Your Profile

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, ideally in SaaS, BI, or data-driven tools.

  • A user-centric mindset with the ability to design intuitive experiences that deliver measurable results. Experience in conducting user interviews and gathering insights to enhance the customer experience.

  • Strong understanding of KPIs and metrics like Revenue, Occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR, particularly in the hotel or revenue management industry.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to align diverse stakeholders and convey complex ideas clearly.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to derive actionable insights from customer feedback and data trends.

  • Passionate about user-centric design and delivering products that solve real-world problems.

  • Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams (developers, designers, and stakeholders).
