SUMMARY
As a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, you’ll provide clinical pharmacy services in a professional and competent manner to assure rational and appropriate drug therapy to the patients within our Emergency Department
STATUS: Full Time, 40 hours
LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Pharmacy | Emergency Medicine
SCHEDULE: Flexible schedule: Monday-Friday, days. Every 8th weekend coverage
ATTRIBUTES
Completion of residency OR fellowship training OR board certification through the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties. The employee may be working towards board certification as part of a timeline mutually agreed upon by the employee and supervisor
Licensure as a Pharmacist in New York State required
Possess a broad scope and depth of emergency medicine knowledge, clinical skills and function well on multidisciplinary teams
Extensive experience as an Emergency Department Pharmacist
Advanced understanding of hospital pharmacy
RESPONSIBILITIES
Medication Management. Provides pharmacotherapy expertise in emergency medication to optimize patient care
Training. Provide didactic and experiential training for Pharmacy Students, Pharmacy Residents, and other health care providers
Interdisciplinary Collaboration. Work in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams across the health system.

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
