Hardware Quality Assurance

As we continue to scale and push the boundaries of secure hardware, we are looking for a Quality Manager who will ensure that every Trezor device meets the highest industry standards for security, durability, and reliability.

As a Quality Manager at Trezor, you will be responsible for designing and enforcing a world-class quality management system tailored for secure consumer hardware products. This role requires deep technical knowledge of hardware manufacturing, supplier quality management, and regulatory compliance to ensure our products meet strict consumer electronics standards.

You will work closely with product, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing partners, and security experts to define, measure, and improve product quality across the entire lifecycle - from design and prototyping to mass production and customer feedback.

This role is ideal for a quality-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes industry where security and reliability are non-negotiable.

👉 Your responsibilities at Trezor

  • Develop and maintain Trezor’s Quality System

  • Lead failure mode analysis (FMEA), root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective action plans (CAPA) to improve product reliability

  • Define and implement reliability testing strategies, including HALT, HASS, drop tests and other relaibilty startegies for hardware wallets

  • Drive regulatory compliance audits and ensure proper documentation for certifications and global hardware market entry

  • Develop and enforce supplier quality standards, ensuring contract manufacturers, PCB suppliers, and component vendors meet Trezor’s high standards

  • Conduct supplier audits and production line assessments, focusing on defect prevention and yield improvement

  • Implement incoming material inspection (IQC), in-process quality control (IPQC), and outgoing quality control (OQC) standards for manufacturing partners

  • Define quality KPIs (First Pass Yield, RMA rates, MTBF, DPPM, etc.) and drive continuous improvement initiatives based on data analysis

  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve systemic quality issues and prevent recurrence

  • Mentor and develop quality engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of excellence

  • Act as the primary point of contact for quality escalations, ensuring quick resolution and long-term solutions

💪 What do we need from you?

  • 5+ years of experience in quality management for hardware or consumer electronics (crypto security or fintech hardware experience is a plus)

  • Proven expertise in supplier quality assurance (SQA), manufacturing audits, and regulatory compliance

  • Strong knowledge of PCBA, injection molding, and electronic component reliability testing

  • Hands-on experience with failure analysis, corrective action implementation, and statistical quality control (SPC)

  • Excellent analytical problem-solving abilities and data-driven decision-making

  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with engineers, suppliers, and executive teams

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict quality standards
