Business Intelligence Manager

The Business Intelligence Manager will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the operations efficiency and effectiveness of our company. Your expertise in business intelligence and data-driven decision-making will be crucial in identifying opportunities for improvement, streamlining processes, and driving informed strategic choices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration, efficient resource allocation, and achievement of key performance indicators. This position reports to the VP of Technology. 

Location: 100% Remote (US Only)
Compensation: $120,000-130,000 + Benefits Package

  • Utilizes your experience in business intelligence tools and techniques to gather, analyze and interpret complex data sets 

  • Provides actionable insights and recommendations to executive management for improved decision-making, resource allocation and process optimization 

  • Identifies operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within various departments 

  • Develops and implements strategies to streamline processes, reduce costs and enhance overall operational performance 

  • Collaborates with department heads and executive management to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with the company’s strategic goals 

  • Monitors and analyzes KPIs to identify trends, deviations and opportunities and provides regular reports to guide decision-making 

  • Fosters effective communication and collaboration across departments to ensure smooth workflows and coordinated efforts  

  • Works closely with teams such as Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to align operations with overall business objectives 

  • Leads and oversees the implementation of process improvement initiatives and operational projects 

  • Defines project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements to ensure successful execution within established parameters 

  • Monitors resource allocation across departments to optimize staffing levels and allocation of assets 

  • Makes recommendations for resource adjustments based on data driven insights 

  • Identifies potential operational risks and develops mitigation strategies 

  • Ensures compliance with industry regulations and company policies minimizing potential disruptions to operations 

  • Stays updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and advancements in business intelligence 

  • Applies knowledge to continuously enhancing operational processes and maintains a competitive edge 

  • Other projects and duties as assigned 


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Exceptional ability to deliver concise, incisive, logical written documents and has the presence to deliver recommendations effectively to demanding audiences 

  • Ability to identify the organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats 

  • Comfortable working in a diverse environment with the ability to deal with ambiguity while adapting easily to rapidly changing business conditions 

  • Ability to adapt and adjust to changing situations  

  • A high degree of self-confidence and perseverance and can earn the confidence of others 

  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently, while under pressure 

  • Excellent communication, presentation and project management skills  

  • Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously 

  • Experience with knowledge of all state and local law 

  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite  


Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field 

  • 5+ years’ experience in data analysis, business intelligence or a related field 

  • Expertise in SQL, Excel and other data analysis tools 

  • String understanding of statistical methods and modeling 

  • Ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems 

  • Service-oriented, and a collaborative influence style 

  • Proven ability to craft and present a business analysis’ 

  • Experience making decisions based on business metrics
