911 Data Collection Specialist

As a member of the Emergency Services team, the 9-1-1 Data Collection Specialist interacts with public safety answering points to gather essential PSAP data, completes data entry into the respective systems, and coordinates with internal and external resources to support 9-1-1 services.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Act as primary POC for public safety interactions
  • Perform PSAP Data Collection: Ongoing with yearly data refresh required in support of Sinch’s 911 solutions
  • Maintain accurate and complete PSAP information and data collection records within Sinch databases / systems
  • Assist with PSAP 10-digit 24x7 emergency number collection and verification
  • Participate in PSAP data reconciliations between Sinch systems, identify errors in the data and take the necessary actions to make corrections as quickly as possible
  • Assist w/ workload where needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

  • 2+ years customer service experience
  • Strong organizational skills, and demonstrated attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and communicate both technical and business information in verbal and written form
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to maintain calm under pressure
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

  • 2+ years’ experience working with Public Safety Answering Points strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of 9-1-1 solutions and Next Generation 9-1-1 systems strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of PSAP call taking systems (ALI/LDB, CAD, mapping) and operations preferred

The annual salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.
