The role:

SoFi is growing, and the complexity of People Team communications has grown significantly. We are committed to delivering clear, impactful, and strategically timed communications that align with our People Strategy and corporate priorities. We are seeking a People Team Communications Specialist to manage and enhance internal communications, ensuring consistency, engagement, and alignment across the organization while maintaining a unified voice and cohesive brand narrative.

What you’ll do: 

Strategic Communications Management:

  • Develop and implement a communications strategy aligned with People Team goals and the corporate calendar.
  • Manage a communications calendar tailored to employee personas, ensuring strategically timed and consistent messaging.
  • Ensure all communications reflect a unified voice and align with the company’s brand narrative.

Content Development and Management:

  • Draft, review, and edit internal communications, including announcements, updates, and newsletters.
  • Maintain and update People Team content on internal platforms (e.g., intranet, knowledge hubs) to ensure accuracy and cohesion.
  • Develop messaging that reflects and reinforces the company’s brand identity and values.

Data-Driven Storytelling:

  • Partner with People Analytics to incorporate compelling data narratives into communications and presentations.
  • Use insights to craft clear, impactful messages that resonate with employees and stakeholders.

Change Management Support:

  • Collaborate with initiative drivers to define key messages and execute change management cascades effectively.
  • Ensure communication plans address stakeholder concerns and facilitate seamless organizational transitions.

Executive-Level Presentation Development:

  • Create polished presentations for People Leadership Team (PLT) meetings, board updates, staff briefings, and company-wide sessions.
  • Ensure all materials are visually engaging, aligned with corporate branding, and reinforce the company’s unified narrative.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with leaders, SMEs, and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and clear messaging across departments.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for People Team communications needs and alignment efforts.

What you’ll need:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in an internal communications or operations role, preferably within a People Team.
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with an ability to maintain a unified voice.
  • Proven experience managing internal content platforms (e.g., Simpplr, ServiceNow).
  • Proficiency in creating professional and visually engaging presentations  (Google Slides).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with change management communication strategies.
  • Knowledge of data storytelling and partnering with analytics teams.
  • Familiarity with corporate branding and tone consistency.

Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
