As a Civil Engineer at the City of Fort Worth, you'll be involved in reviewing construction plans for various developments and managing complex water and sewer projects. Your responsibilities will include coordinating project phases, providing technical guidance to engineering technicians, and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Capital Delivery section to ensure compliance with design requirements set by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

To qualify for the Civil Engineer position at the City of Fort Worth, you should have a Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering or a related field, four years of relevant experience as a registered professional engineer, including project management, and a valid registration as a Professional Engineer in Texas or an equivalent from another state. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are also preferred.

The work environment for a Civil Engineer at the City of Fort Worth is dynamic and collaborative. You’ll be working in a fast-paced office setting, with some fieldwork and onsite project management involved. The standard work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional evening and weekend work required to meet project deadlines.
