Email Developer

As an HTML Email Developer, you will work as part of the Digital Content Team, delivering HTML email builds for our varied range of clients, working across multiple projects to meet varying client needs and deadlines.

 You will partner with our content, email design and production departments on a daily basis in order to ensure the best possible email solutions for our clients and to act as a subject matter expert in Email development.

 Reporting to the Head of Delivery Management you will be responsible for HTML build, graphic editing, campaign set-up, quality assurance (QA) and testing of all email builds.

 You will play a crucial role in enhancing our clients email marketing efforts by ensuring the communications are visually appealing and technically sound.

 You will have a strong background in core web technologies, email development techniques, a keen eye for design, and the ability to troubleshoot issues across various email clients.

This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about email marketing and eager to contribute to a dynamic team.

Please note that there is requirement for this role to come into the office 2 days a week.

 What you will do…

• HTML development: Work with design and creative teams to create visually appealing HTML email templates and content that align with client brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
• Liaise closely with the wider team, Designers, Email Producers, Client Project Managers, Client Services, Data and Development team to complete agreed email build/campaign broadcast requirements.
• HTML Email development and coding, creating Email creative assets.
• Braze Content: Create components that can be implemented in Braze canvases and embedded in digital channels.
• Testing and Optimisation: Conduct rigorous testing across agreed email clients and devices to ensure compatibility and optimal performance. Work to optimise email production processes to improve efficiency and quality of outputs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and design teams to translate visual concepts into functional email templates.
• Advise internal departments on email best practices and be looked to as a subject matter expert for email development.
• Manage own workload, working across multiple concurrent clients as applicable.
• Display a meticulous aptitude for detail.

What you will need to succeed …

• You will have proven, hands-on experience, in Email development, particularly with HTML and CSS. Preferably for a marketing agency or fast paced client side environment.
• You’ll be an HTML/CSS expert, specifically in developing responsive and interactive emails.
• High level of proficiency in creating responsive email designs and familiarity with Braze canvases.
• Experience using online email builders and templating systems such as Taxi for Email.
• A working knowledge of git code repositories
• Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite of applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator for email asset output and editing when needed.
• Experience building from Figma designs.
• Knowledge of email marketing best practices and compliance standards.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, within business constraints and across multiple projects concurrently.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality assurance, ensuring all emails are free from errors and adhere to best practices.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to email rendering and deliverability.
• Communication: Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
