Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering
Experience in power electronics design for low and medium voltage systems
Ability to program controls into DSP for power electronics
Experience in hardware prototyping and experimentation
Use of wide bandgap semiconductor devices in power electronic circuits
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with using optimization tools for design centering.
Experience with PC board layout, parasitic extraction, and high-power density electro-thermal design.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of and experience with circuit analysis software, proposal writing, and technical publishing
Knowledge of power electronic circuit theory such as buck, buck-boost, boost, H-bridge, and multi-level converters
Knowledge of basic PWM control methods
Additional Information:
This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
