The Global Data Office coordinates high-impact, complex, company-wide projects related to data business strategy, critical investments, policy development, and marketplace execution. Working closely with Visa’s Chief Privacy Officer, the Technology organization, Government Solutions, the wider data community, and the full set of Visa’s global lines of business, the Global Data Office is evolving Visa’s data and AI-related work with momentum and enthusiasm. Essential Function:

Visa Government Insights Hub/Visa Destination Insights

The position will be a key Product Leader in the Data Products division within the Global Data Office. The Data Product team focusses on creating new products and scaling existing solutions. The team is accountable for all phases of product success including product development from 0-1 and beyond which involves working in close collaboration with partnering business units and cross-functionally across Visa and our five Regions. The role is client facing and requires internal engagement at senior levels across organizations. The team is looking for a highly motivated individual who can provide thought leadership in ideating scalable solutions and strategies that meet the evolving needs of clients, and tenaciously drive execution of these strategies. This role will partner closely with Visa Government Solutions in ensuring success of the various govt. facing data solutions.

  • Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible and creative thinker with the ability to define business tradeoffs.
  • Strong quantitative skills with a data first mindset. Ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
  • Strong Product Management skills and experience driving product launches, releases and enhancements that drive impact

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • 10+ years of product management or related industry experience (7+ years of experience with an advanced degree) with demonstrated ability to launch and manage new product releases working closely with technology and other partners like risk, legal etc.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance big picture strategy and flawless execution with high attention to detail and quality for all work products
  • Previous experience using user design approach to driving new product ideas and feature enhancements
  • Proficiency with software development methodologies such as Agile and experience working with Scrum teams and matrixed organizations.
  • Experience working in global organizations and roles that need collaboration with stakeholders, partners and development teams spread around the globe, gathering regional and global requirements

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 180,700.00 to 262,100.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
