(USA) Vice President, Onsite Energy Solutions

Position Summary...

Electricity demand within our operations is poised to increase substantially as we expand our footprint, invest in automation across our supply chain, and electrify our operations. At the same time, this accelerating demand for power must be balanced against rising costs, enhancing resilience, and delivering progress toward our sustainability objectives. This exciting, expansive role will be tasked with leading end to end deployment and operations of energy and mobility infrastructure solutions across our stores and supply chain facilities in support of enhancing energy security and affordability within our operations, while in parallel accelerating decarbonization and capturing emerging new value streams that help catalyze decarbonization more broadly among our customers and suppliers. Key Internal Partners - Supply Chain Operations, Supply Chain Engineering, Store Operations, Realty, Transportation, Finance, Public Affairs, Corp Sustainability, and Legal.

What you'll do...

Key Priorities:

Serve as key point of contact for internal operations and lead development, deployment and operations of all energy and mobility infrastructure solutions at Walmart stores and supply chain facilities, including:Energy supply and storage (solar, storage, fuel cells, generators, hydrogen)Charging infrastructure for fleet operations, including last-mile delivery vehicles and medium/heavy-duty trucksAccelerate deployment of energy solutions across critical supply chain assets, balancing resilience, affordability, and decarbonization.Lead development strategy and deployment of at least 1 GW of new solar and storage across Walmart facilities by 2030.Partner closely with new site development and acquisition teams on site selection and solution development to optimize new store and supply chain sites for energy access, cost, reliability, and emissions.Establish and lead cross-functional collaboration with leaders and stakeholders across Walmart US operations to accelerate progress toward zero emissions transformation of Walmart’s transportation network by 2040, with specific operational responsibility for deployment of charging infrastructure in support of network design and optimization efforts.Lead cross-functional team of energy regulatory, compliance, legal, and public affairs leaders to navigate and shape an enabling policy environment for each of the above initiatives at state, local, and national levels.Hire and retain relevant capabilities to advance all of the above objectives as required.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $225,000.00-$500,000.00
