As we scale, we're looking for a Backend Staff Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and development of backend systems that power our platform. Responsibilities:

Lead the backend architecture and contribute to system design, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance across services.
Build and evolve high-performance APIs and microservices that support dynamic workflows and modular no-code logic.
Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Frontend teams to shape feature requirements and define system behavior.
Drive end-to-end backend development: from idea to deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
Identify and eliminate technical debt, enforce best coding practices, and mentor fellow engineers.
Stay ahead of industry trends and propose tools or processes that can enhance engineering velocity or system capabilities.
Ensure security, data privacy, and compliance standards are baked into the system design.

Skills & Qualifications:

9+ years of hands-on backend development experience in fast-paced product environments.
Deep expertise in designing and implementing scalable distributed systems, APIs, and data architectures.
Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Node.js, Golang, Python, or Java.
Proven experience working with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and deploying production-grade microservices.
Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including schema design, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, etc.
Prior experience with event-driven architectures, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), or serverless backends is a plus.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and lead technical conversations across functions.
Passion for mentoring and enabling other engineers to do their best work.

Nice to Have:

Experience with no-code/low-code platforms or workflow automation tools.
Contributions to open-source projects or engineering blogs/talks.
Exposure to crowdsourcing models, marketplaces, or platforms with dynamic user-driven logic.
