what is wordware?

wordware's mission is bringing structure and joy to human-ai collaboration.

wordware is a platform that makes building AI apps as easy as writing documents. if you can explain your application in words then you can build it with wordware.

wordware gives you access to every public AI model and thousands of API integrations, allowing you to build truly context-aware AI applications and agents.

the wordware natural language editor is enhanced with powerful features from the world of programming; conditional statements, loops, functions, multi-agent communication. it’s like Notion met VS Code and had an AI baby.

build and test AI flows instantly, see results in real-time, iterate fast, deploy in a single click. wordware takes the power of AI, connects it with the tools you already use, and builds it seamlessly into your life and work.

p.s. pls don't use zero prompt ai in your answers, we get enough of these to know immediately 😂

tl;dr we're looking for someone to craft our positioning, messaging, and go-to-market for the all-in-one AI development platform. you'll translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling stories that make both engineers and non-technical builders say "holy shit, I need this."

what wordware actually is

we're building the all-in-one platform for AI development. that means:

  • a programming language specifically designed for AI, where English meets software engineering

  • an IDE where notion met vscode and had a baby

  • deployment options that let you plug directly into products or create automated workflows

  • a repository where AI agents can be shared, forked, and instantly run

our users range from hardcore engineers to domain experts who've never written a line of code. both groups need to understand how wordware changes the game for them.

the marketing challenge

AI development is messy, complicated, and full of jargon. most companies either dumb it down with AI buzzwords or get so technical they lose everyone. we need to do something different:

  • make complex concepts crystal clear without diluting their power

  • position wordware as the obvious solution to problems people actually have

  • build a brand that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • cut through the noise in an increasingly crowded market

what you'll actually be doing

  • owning our positioning and messaging across all channels

  • crafting our narrative that explains what we're building and why it matters

  • developing go-to-market strategies for new features and capabilities

  • working directly with our team to extract the compelling stories behind technical features

  • creating content that showcases the power of wordware without oversimplifying

  • managing launch campaigns that generate real excitement, not just noise

  • building our community strategy to nurture our early adopters and evangelists

  • defining how we talk about our product to different audiences (from VCs to end users)

  • collaborating with design and content to ensure brand consistency

you might be our person if

  • you can explain complex technical concepts without sounding like either a corporate robot or a condescending teacher

  • you've built positioning frameworks that actually get used, not just filed away

  • you understand developer tools well enough to have opinions about them

  • you've led product launches that people remembered

  • you can write copy that makes people feel something

  • you get excited about AI but can see through the hype

  • you prefer building a category to just following a playbook

your background probably includes

  • 5+ years in product marketing, preferably for technical products or developer tools

  • experience creating positioning for products with multiple audience segments

  • proven track record of successful product launches and campaigns

  • strong portfolio of messaging work that demonstrates your ability to simplify without dumbing down

  • experience collaborating with technical teams to extract the stories behind features

  • bonus points if you've marketed AI products or worked with technical founder teams

real talk about the role

  • you'll be joining early, which means big impact and some chaos

  • we're in SF, you need to be too - no remote for now

  • you'll work directly with founders who care deeply about how we position the product

  • sometimes you'll need to turn around campaigns quickly as we iterate

  • you need to be technical enough to understand our product (seriously)

  • what you build will shape how the next generation thinks about AI development

  • our office has a sauna and is 70m from the beach, so bring your surfboard

if you've ever wanted to define how the world talks about a new category of technology, this is your chance.

send us your portfolio and tell us about a time you took something complex and made it compelling without dumbing it down.

p.s. we're backed by Spark Capital, Felicis, and Y Combinator ($30m seed) but we still work like a seed startup. the vision is massive, and now we need the right words to share it.
