We are looking for a talented Group Account Director to join our Client Services team in APAC.

 

The Client Services team at 1000heads is the engine that keeps all of our accounts powered. Our business is understanding what our clients need and delivering the solutions to help them get there. We do this via our extensive knowledge of sectors and business drivers, a potent blend of strategic and creative thinking, and exceptional organisation and project management skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with some of the world’s biggest brands such as The North Face, Google, Diageo, Wella, Snap, Meta, Amazon and the United Nations.

 

The GAD at 1000heads is the business owner for one or more accounts (dependent on account scale). A GAD will be responsible for ‘Development Manager’ responsibilities within the Client Services (CS) function and they will lead account teams. Ultimately, the GAD will lead the creation and delivery of our work, ensuring strategic accuracy and creative quality.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, solution-oriented Social Director with strong interpersonal and organisational skills. Playing equally significant internal and external roles, the successful candidate will join as an integral member of this high-profile team and will balance priorities cross-department to deliver high quality work.

You’ll will take on a dual role that blends client services expertise with hands-on social media execution. You will take ownership of client accounts, executing the strategy, planning, and delivery of social media campaigns while maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with clients and internally with our teams across various offices.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic vision
    Working with senior clients and senior personnel at 1000heads, the GAD will ensure that the account has a clear path forward. This will involve developing a deep understanding of our client’s business strategy and processes, working with clients to identify what their overall strategy for social communications is and where it fits into their wider organisation. They will proactively work to constantly push clients forward and delight them with new and original thinking.
  • Client experience
    The GAD will take overall responsibility for the client relationship ensuring a clear and transparent feedback loop into the agency. They will take on all top level account resource decisions, ensuring that 1000heads team members are intelligently positioned on the account and stay motivated and challenged.
  • Account profitability
    The GAD will ensure that scoping is accurate and sensitive to the client’s requirements and budgets. They will ensure that account-servicing levels are tracked, understood and managed.
  • Account growth
    The GAD will take a proactive approach to client relationship development, identifying and understanding where strategic growth opportunities are, establishing new relationships and proactively proposing new concepts and plans that will take our client’s business forward and open up a broader service offering for 1000heads.

  • Concept creation and presentation
    The GAD will take a leading role when responding to large campaign briefs and new business pitches. They will typically work with partners from other functions, helping to steer and craft both the strategic plan and the creative articulation of the idea. They will integrate other functions (e.g. Developers or Videographers) from across the agency into the process as and when they are needed.
  • Delivery
    The GAD will take a high level view on the delivery of work, ensuring creative assets produced are true to the client approved plan, that performance targets are being met, streams are optimised when required and servicing levels are as they should be.
  • Deep understanding of the Japanese social media landscape
  • Fluent/Native Japanese speaker

  • Has a broad understanding of the theory underpinning the development of creative communications
  • Strategically minded with the ability to interpret research and carry audience insight into messaging and social communications strategies
  • Thrives on creativity with the ability to fuel and steer thinking that forms innovative and imaginative ideas
  • Strong story-telling skills with the ability to capture a strategic and creative vision within compelling documentation used to pitch to clients
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Holds a deep knowledge of the social media landscape and in touch with the new trends and behaviours constantly emerging
  • Seasoned leadership ability with clear and transparent communication skills that assure clients and internal teams
  • Established experience working within cross agency teams
  • Has an entrepreneurial spirit and a competitive edge
