Company Overview:At Altera.AL, our mission is to build digital humans that can live, love, and grow with us. We are at the forefront of developing AI agents that can interact autonomously and collaboratively with people. Currently, we are making strides in the gaming world with our advanced AI agent in Minecraft, laying the groundwork for our agents to traverse seamlessly across various games and platforms in the future.Ideal candidate is a "full-stack" developer with a focus on client-side game development in JavaScript.This will be a full-time contract role. In-person is preferred but not required.Responsibilities include:• Develop and optimize javascript action code for agents to interact with Minecraft using the Mineflayer API• Integrate agents in to Mods for a variety of games• Develop SDK's to support inclusion of agent in to Unity and / or Unreal projects• Work with AI and back-end developers to create tools to support agent analysis and creation• Support development of the Altera app that links agents to games and mods\• Having fun playing with our agentsJob is in-person in Menlo Park, CA.Must-haves:• Front End / Client Side Javascript Game Development• Unity or Unreal Experience• Experienced in version control and code reviews, familiar with automatic integration, deployment development environment.• Strong problem-solving skills, with a knack for creative and innovative thinking.• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Bonuses:• Traditional game AI development (state machines, hierarchical goal networks, etc...)• React development (web and/or native)• Minecraft Modding, particularly with the Mineflayer API• Other Game Modding, particularly survival crafting games such as Valheim or Conan Exiles• Python• Electron Application development• AWS (Cloudfront, S3 integration)• ML/AI integration / training
