Video Assistant - Seasonal

Atlanta United is seeking a seasonal Video Assistant (Seasonal) to join its media production team for the 2025 season. The ideal candidate will be creative and self-motivated, and will possess experience in all aspects of production, including comfortability with camera capture, editing, and Adobe Creative Suite. The desire to help make ever-improving video content for Atlanta United’s digital channels is a must.

This is a seasonal position that will focus on content creation for Atlanta United 2 and assisting the video team with the 1st team, Atlanta United.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Act as an editing or production assistant for a full range of video projects
  • Assisting the video team in leading projects
  • Filming training sessions and media availability
  • Assist in creatively ideating and editing video content for Apple TV and weekly shows
  • Attend Atlanta United 2 matches and training sessions to capture content as necessary
  • Assist video team with Atlanta United matches (1st team)
  • Optimizing edited video content for platform specific distribution
  • Help with transcription or fact checking on projects as needed
  • Aid in the operation of studio or field production equipment as necessary
  • Able and willing to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Most importantly, strive to make smart, creative, industry-leading work you’re proud of

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in a professional digital/video production role
  • Expertise with Adobe Creative programs, specifically Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
  • Expertise with working on a range of video content, including studio segments, explainers, and features
  • Experience with preproduction, equipment, coordinating, lighting, shooting, and editing
  • An understanding of the current digital video landscape and the role video plays on each, including a knowledge of how to optimize for specific platforms
  • Understanding of news and story lines, with sound journalistic ethics and judgment
  • Knowledge of and a passion for soccer and MLS
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive under pressure
