What will you do? 🤔

1. Lead & Manage Projects: Oversee and drive the completion of complex engineering projects, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery. Utilize tools like Jira, Agile, and Scrum.

2. Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and execute strategic plans that align with Atlan's business objectives. Adapt strategies based on industry trends and stakeholder feedback.

3. Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor engineers, providing guidance, feedback, and support for professional growth. Conduct performance reviews and set goals.

4. Adding Business Value: Ensure engineering efforts deliver tangible business value for customers. Prioritise and address customer problems to improve product features and user experience.

5. Technical Oversight & Decision Making: Lead technical discussions, contribute expertise in backend engineering, cloud infrastructure, and security. Define and track engineering metrics.

6. Engineering Operations Management: Manage support rosters, on-call schedules, and release management for smooth operations and quick issue resolution.

7. Driving Collaboration: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, presenting complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

1. Engineering Management: Proven ability to manage and deliver complex projects on time and within scope using Jira, Agile, and Scrum.

2. Leadership & People Management: Experience leading and developing teams, managing 5+ direct reports, and fostering a collaborative culture.

3. Strategic Vision: Ability to align engineering efforts with business goals and adapt strategies to industry trends.

4. Customer Empathy: Strong focus on understanding and addressing customer needs in customer-centric environments.

5. Technical Decision Making: Extensive experience with B2B SaaS products, building technical products, and optimising engineering metrics. Data Engineering experience is a plus.

6. Communication: Excellent skills in articulating technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

7. Adaptability & Industry Experience: Thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. Experience in data platforms, AI governance, or data management is preferred.
