The Account Manager (“AM”) is responsible for business development, risk mitigation, generating revenue and promoting the company’s products and services within a specific geographic area. The AM’s primary responsibilities will include building and maintaining professional relationships with current and prospective customers to increase utilization, bring in new business, maximize revenues and minimize delinquency and write-offs.

The Account Manager at Axle Funding in Wayland, Michigan, plays a crucial role in driving business development and revenue generation. Picture this: you’ll be out in the field building strong professional relationships with current and potential customers, ensuring they see the value in our products and services. Your daily routine will involve engaging with clients through face-to-face visits, calls, and texts, all aimed at maximizing revenues while minimizing any potential risks. You’ll be the one documenting every client interaction in our proprietary system, ensuring compliance and setting clear expectations with our dealer accounts. An important part of this role is educating clients about Axle Funding’s floorplans and fee structures, addressing any concerns, and analyzing their data to identify at-risk scenarios. Plus, you’ll get to participate in local campaigns and support auction initiatives, collaborating closely with the Regional Account Manager and Corporate Management to analyze performance and budget goals. It’s not just about hitting targets; it’s about building partnerships with Auction Staff and potentially leading a small team of Sales and Administrative professionals. To be successful in this position, you should be ready for 75% travel and have at least 3 years of experience in a retail automotive dealership or floorplan management.
