THE PROGRAM We're looking for students to join our Internship Program who are obsessively curious about 'what's next'. You'll get hands on experience with our products and learn from the best of the best in the business. You will complete a specific project in 10-12 weeks with us, while integrating into your team. By the time you end your time with us, you will have been given the opportunity to truly make a real impact in the future of Bose and your career! Opportunities don't stop at your day-to-day work. While you're getting a targeted look at your area of expertise, we'll expose you to other areas of the company. Our interns are given the opportunity to connect with senior leadership across the business to understand different perspectives at Bose. You'll network with other interns and colleagues to grow your network for the future! Timeframe - June-August 2024 THE ROLE The Product Design studio at Bose is driven by a relentless pursuit of design excellence and we're dedicated to pushing the boundaries of design. We're looking for an Industrial Design Intern to help us deliver the next generation of experiences to our customers. RESPONSIBILITES As an Industrial Design Intern, you will: • Collaborate with Designers, Researchers, Engineers, and Product Managers as you contribute to development programs. • Ideate through sketch, CAD, and Keyshot renders • Present design work during design crit to strengthen concept directions and communication skills • Develop CAD for model making through our Industrial Design model Shop • Create on-brand presentations • Deliver a compelling project presentation • Track and communicate project status • Manage workload and meeting deadlines • Partner with fellow design interns to collaborate on a unique project QUALIFICATIONS • Must be pursuing BA/BS in Industrial Design • Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, CAD (NX or SolidWorks preferred), MS Office • Ability to quickly adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines • Motivation to produce and improve high-quality deliverables • Strong attention to detail and organizational, and communication skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment WHAT WE OFFER • Hands-on experience in Industrial Design within R&D environment • Mentorship from experienced Design professionals • Opportunity to contribute to real-world projects • Networking opportunities within the design industry • A supportive and creative work environment Bose is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
