Overview of the Role

  • The Business Management Sales Intern will have insight into the Confections Industry and learn the sophisticated business model between major manufacturers and retailers based in the South. 
  • The Business Management Intern will work directly with the Business Managers to support the convenience channel and learn sales, analytics, trade fund management, promotional planning, and deduction management.
  • Location: Remote but must be local to Austin, TX, Waco, TX or Central Texas to attend client meetings

What You’ll Do at C.A. Carlin

  • Training: We provide on-the-job training throughout the program, ensuring that the intern has the skills to excel within their internship.
  • Mentoring: The intern will receive a mentor, allowing an immediate source of information and guidance. This mentor will help build your career and network within the Candy Industry in addition to answering any questions you may have throughout the program.
  • Exposure: Real-world knowledge of working with clients and managing a major retail account.
  • Strategic Business Planning: The intern will witness the strategic business planning process, and help to manage the workflow.
  • Full Circle Business Management: The intern will have hands-on experience of managing the workflow from the planning through the post analytics, seeing the full circle of the business model.

What You Should Bring to the Table

  • High school education required
  • Local to Central Texas
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Basic computer and email ability required; willing to accept training
