Resident Retention Specialist

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Resident Retention Specialist will be responsible for managing and enhancing resident retention efforts across our multi-state portfolio of multi-family properties through effective communication, administrative support, and proactive engagement. This role involves handling leasing administration, renewal processes, and maintaining accurate records to ensure a positive resident experience.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide administrative support for leasing activities, including preparing lease documents and processing renewals.
  • Draft and send renewal letters to residents in a timely manner.
  • Send renewal reminders to residents to ensure timely lease renewals.
  • Update renewal notes and maintain accurate records of resident interactions.
  • Maintain and update the renewal spreadsheet to track lease renewals and expirations.
  • Collaborate with property management and leasing teams to develop and implement resident retention strategies.
  • Address resident inquiries and concerns related to lease renewals and retention.
  • Assist with organizing resident events and community activities to foster a sense of community.
  • Monitor and analyze resident feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and trends in resident retention.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in property management, leasing, or resident relations. 


ABOUT YOU:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Yardi.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of multi-family real estate operations is a plus.

Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. The role is considered non-exempt so will be eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and state law. At CIM, this role has the potential to receive a discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The anticipated base pay range for the position in Los Angeles, CA is $24.04- $28.85 per hour.
