Senior Network & Systems Engineer
Onsite Only: not a remote nor hybrid position
Location: Hurst, TX
Salary: $120,000 - $135,000 annual + Full Benefits
Davis Technology Management seeks a Senior Network & Systems Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled IT professional with deep expertise in networking, firewall management, and systems administration. You will be responsible for designing, managing, and optimizing network and system infrastructure, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability across multiple U.S. locations.
What You’ll Do:
Network Infrastructure Management:
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, VPNs, and SD-WAN solutions.
Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls (SonicWall, Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.), switches, routers, and wireless networks.
Optimize network performance, security, and availability, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Lead network security initiatives, including intrusion detection/prevention, segmentation, and vulnerability management.
Systems Administration & Cloud Services:
Administer and optimize Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs.
Manage virtualized environments, including Hyper-V and VMware, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
Implement automated server patching, backup strategies, and disaster recovery solutions.
Support Azure cloud infrastructure and hybrid deployments, managing virtual networks, identity services, and security policies.
IT Operations & Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless integration between network and system components.
Provide tier-3 support for escalated network and system issues.
Develop and maintain documentation for network architecture, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
Assist with mergers & acquisitions IT integrations, ensuring smooth transitions of network and system infrastructure.
Who We Need:
10+ years of hands-on experience in networking and systems administration in enterprise environments.
Expert-level knowledge of firewall technologies (SonicWall, Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.).
Strong experience with switching and routing (Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, etc.) and network protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs).
Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware).
Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and hybrid cloud networking.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex network and system issues.
Experience in network security best practices, intrusion prevention, and disaster recovery planning.
Ability to work onsite in Hurst, TX, providing hands-on support and collaboration with the IT team.
