Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of our data analytics and reporting infrastructure. This role will be instrumental in transforming complex business data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect and implement end-to-end BI solutions, including data models, and visualization dashboards

- Lead the development of standardized reporting and analytics solutions using modern BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)

- Design and optimize data warehouse schemas and dimensional models to support business reporting needs

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications

- Mentor junior team members and provide technical leadership on BI initiatives

- Establish best practices for data governance, documentation, and quality assurance

- Troubleshoot complex data issues and optimize query performance

- Drive the adoption of self-service analytics tools across the organization

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data warehousing, and analytics

- Expert-level SQL skills and experience with major database platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)

- Strong proficiency in at least one modern BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker)

- Understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehouse design principles

- Programming experience in Python, R, or similar languages for data manipulation is a plus

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
