Anew Era TMS & Psychiatric multi-clinic practice is looking for a qualified candidate to join our fast-growing company. Anew Era TMS, part of the DiscoveryMD professional psychiatric division, prides itself with its close culture and clinical excellence, while focusing on helping patients sustain their mental health wellness goals and bringing a new sense of hope to those who are suffering.

Compensation range is $17 - $22 per hour 

Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience.

Job Description

Anew Era TMS & Psychiatric multi-clinic practice is looking for a qualified candidate for our Orange office. Anew Era TMS & Psychiatry is a rapidly growing multi-state Psychiatric clinic group. An ideal Medical Receptionist with Anew Era TMS & Psychiatry should have excellent communication skills to converse clearly and effectively over the telephone and in person with patients. Organization and time management skills to manage a variety of tasks effectively.  Must have excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients who may be upset or stressed. We are looking for a positive person to join our excellent team of staff and providers. 

  • Greeting patients professionally both in person and on the phone.
  • Answering patient calls, and voicemails in a friendly prompt manner
  • Confirming patient follow up appointments, sending reminder virtual appointment information as needed
  • Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling
  • Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties and effectively answering questions
  • Notifying providers of patient arrivals
  • Updating patient records and following all protocols in regard to insurance verification
  • Collecting patient copays and scheduling follow up appointments 
  • Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs.
  • Occasionally verify insurances
  • Mental health experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Behavioral or psychiatric office experience preferred.
  • Experience with Office Ally, Nextgen or other electronic medical records systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Highly dependable
  • Team player that works well with others
