As Paralegal, you will primarily be involved in drafting, filing, and managing securities filings related to variable insurance products with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Your responsibilities will include preparing and organizing legal documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, conducting research on securities and insurance laws, assisting in the drafting of disclosure documents, communicating with regulatory authorities, and managing deadlines associated with the filing process. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining access to the SEC filing system on behalf of the company, including managing user access for the company. You will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of submissions to the SEC. This role will also be responsible for supporting the RSS group in performing its other duties, such as assisting with insurance regulatory filings, as needed.
In addition, you will collaborate with attorneys and other paralegals, who support multiple business units on a broad range of other important legal and compliance issues. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and assignments and must have the ability to multi-task and prioritize. Interpersonal skills, initiative and excellent communication skills will be critical to success in this position.

You have
3 plus years of experience as a paralegal required.
Experience with SEC securities and/or insurance product filings strongly preferred.
Paralegal certification or degree preferred.
Prior law firm or in-house experience preferred.
Demonstrated skills and well versed in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong legal research and writing skills and understanding of Westlaw database.
Location /Travel
Hybrid role: 3 days in the office, 2 days WFH. Preferred location – Hudson Yards, NYC.
Salary Range:
$80,940.00 - $132,975.00The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
