Job Title: Sr. Product Marketing Manager

What you’ll do: 

Do you want to put powerful solutions into the hands of K-12 educators and students and make a difference in education around the world? Join HMH’s Product Marketing Team as a Sr. Product Marketing Manager, supporting our Heinemann ELA programs. 

As the Sr. Product Marketing Manager, you will support the creation and execution of marketing plans and go-to-market product launches, serving as the product ambassador. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide sales enablement programs and assets, presales training, adoption support, and content needed for channel marketing.

Our ideal candidate has a proven track record of success in K-12 SaaS marketing and/or sales and possesses a skillset that includes digital marketing experience and the use of 21st century tactics and tools that drive new sales, expansion, and retention growth. This candidate will exude the daily energy and optimism needed to deliver product value proposition to both internal and external constituents. 

When you join our marketing team as the Sr. Product Marketing Manager you will be responsible for the following primary duties: 

• Supporting the creation and execution of bi-annual marketing plans that reflect an understanding of how educators evaluate solutions, including customer purchasing behavior and criteria.

• Developing compelling messaging that sparks interest and differentiates HMH solutions.

• Partnering with Marketing colleagues to develop compelling promotional content such as videos, product demo sites, and interactive brochures.

• Analyzing competitors’ programs and the education landscape to deliver winning sales strategies to the sales team.

• Creating sales enablement for assigned products including training, sales support assets, pitch templates, etc

• Maintaining strong, ongoing channels of communication with other internal stakeholders in Product Management & Strategy, Marketing, Sales, Revenue Enablement, Global Supply Chain, Content Specialists, and others.

• Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of digital marketing, resourceful connections with educators, customers, and future customers.

• Creative problem solver who is flexible and solution-oriented; can juggle multiple projects and pivot quickly based on internal or external stakeholder needs

• Nimble team player who is able to balance the big picture and attention to detail; excellent time management skills

• Curious contributor, eager to quickly develop deep understanding of the K-12 intervention market (reading and math)

Experience and Skills: (Required to perform this role)

• Requires BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent work experience. 

• Minimum of 4+ years of marketing experience

• Experience creating and executing innovative marketing campaigns through multiple channels that drive demand

• Proficient in MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Pro 

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to persuasively present our solutions to multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred but not necessary: skills/education/experience/working knowledge

• Experience with SalesForce, Eloqua and Workfront

• K-12 edtech marketing experience preferred

• Video editing software and Canva experience a plus

• Proficient project management skills and writing skills.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings

• Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing) for 4+ hours

• Travel required approximately 3 times per year, possibly more during intensive periods of training, planning meetings, or campaigns. 

Salary Range:

$70 - 95,000
