Job Description:
This position is responsible for ensuring that all surgical supplies, instruments and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed and tracked in a quality / timely manner throughout the hospital. Will train to perform these duties independently and without close supervision.Scope

Demonstrated competency in all areas of Sterile Processing tasks, procedures, practices.
Regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts is required.
Advanced knowledge of cleaning, disinfection and decontamination processes and sterilizers.
Advanced understanding of types and functions of instruments and equipment (e.g. endoscopic, microsurgical, robotic and power)
Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team.
Experience and understanding in the use of computers, as well as the ability to learn software relevant to Sterile Processing.
Ability to successfully function in a fast-paced, service oriented environment.
Ability to work nights and/or weekends.
