THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION FOR 6 MONTHS.
The Healthy Homes Unit, reporting to the Vice President of Healthy Homes and the General Manager, oversees operationalizing environmental hazard compliance efforts. The Office of Mold Assessment and Remediation is responsible for managing mold assessment and remediation contracts, ventilation modernization contracts, performance management, providing quality assurance and providing technical assistance to support Public Housing Operations for mold remediation at NYCHA.
Under direct and close supervision, with little latitude for the exercise of initiative or judgment, performs general work on a seasonal basis to support mold and leak related work and initiatives.
1. Perform general light repairs and maintenance work in buildings, apartments and or public space areas in various NYCHA Developments.
2. Demonstrate working knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the trade or trades to which assigned.
3. Clean interiors and exteriors of structures, roof fans, vents, ducts, etc.
4. Clean mold inside units and public space areas.
5. Understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
6. Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
