Job Description

The Responsible Sourcing Analyst will support the Responsible Sourcing Team focusing on assuring and supporting accuracy in data collection for voluntary and regulatory reporting, including U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filings, and provide other administrative support as necessary under the direction of the Program Manager, Global Responsible Sourcing, working collaboratively across various ITW divisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY DELIVERABLES (including, but not limited to):

  • Analysis of complex organizational structure in database and assurance of accuracy to meet auditing standards
  • Develop and maintain list of impacted business units, product and processes
  • Assist in refining of supplier engagement approach, including development of communications with suppliers, and ongoing product and supplier assessment tools and processes
  • Support of external requests for information
  • Maintain timeline under Program Manager’s direction
  • Proactively carries out program support as needed
  • Develop and maintain associated project work and action plans with clear deliverables and timelines
  • Collaborate with others at varying organizational levels, both inside and outside the company, support customer service and team building efforts; build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with deep expertise in data analysis and management 
  • Adapt to new concepts and technologies with little or no formal training
  • Management of software and strategic relationships with software provider(s)
  • Report out and present on project status on an as-needed basis, moving from data and information to insight and value
  • Effectively communicate ideas and concepts to drive and influence organizational change

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college is required. A degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain or Sustainability preferred.
  • At least 1+ years (internships count) of work experience, preferably in data analytics or a sourcing/procurement capacity.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, and possess knowledge of intermediate functions and formulas (PivotTable, VLOOKUP, IFERROR, etc.). Some Access and Power BI experience preferred.
  • Ability to work 5 days a week at the Glenview corporate campus with flexibility on hours.
  • Presentation skills preferred
  • Strong project management and communication skills, detail orientation required
  • Proactive and influential leader with problem-solving skills
  • Experience as a user of Microsoft SharePoint 2007 or 2010 preferred
  • Willingness to travel to ITW business locations, supplier sites, internal and industry conferences or training as needed (10%-20%)
