Team & Position Description:

We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer with a strong emphasis on motion graphics to elevate our brand’s storytelling across digital and traditional platforms. This role requires a creative leader who can blend static and dynamic design, ensuring our marketing, packaging, and eCommerce visuals engage today’s consumers.

What You’ll Do Day to Day:

  • Motion Graphics & Video Content
  • Create engaging motion graphics, animations, product tutorials, and video ads to enhance digital marketing efforts for our Learning Resources and pet brands.
  • Develop video content for YouTube, digital advertising, and brand storytelling initiatives.
  • Align video content with brand messaging and campaign goals in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Branding & Packaging Design
  • Maintain and evolve brand aesthetics across packaging and digital touchpoints.
  • Develop animated brand assets for digital applications, such as QR-code-enhanced packaging experiences.
  • Amazon Product Page & eCommerce Design
  • Optimize brand visuals for Amazon A+ content, product images, and enhanced brand content.
  • Apply motion graphics to eCommerce visuals to improve engagement and conversion rates.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • As a senior designer, you will be mentoring designers in motion design skills, ensuring continuous upskilling.
  • Help foster a high-performing team by coaching, developing, and empowering staff.

What We’re Looking For (Key Performance Objectives):

  • Produce at least 2-3 high-quality motion graphics or video assets per month, supporting marketing campaigns, product launches, and brand storytelling.
  • Achieve a 90%+ satisfaction rating from stakeholders on design quality.
  • Create and optimize at least 5 Amazon/Chewy product pages per quarter, incorporating enhanced visuals and A+ content to improve engagement and conversions.
  • Conduct at least 2 motion design training sessions per year and provide quarterly mentorship check-ins with junior designers to track skill growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Motion Design, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in graphic design with a strong portfolio of motion graphics work.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Strong skills in art direction for video, animation, and traditional/digital illustration.
  • Proven ability to balance branding, motion design, and eCommerce content creation.

Compensation Range: $75,000 – $85,000 annual salary – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: years of experience, skill set or location. Total compensation includes profit sharing bonus potential, 401k matching, and a variety of other benefits (details can be found here).
