Head of Brand Partnerships

Job Summary:

Legitimate is looking for a Head of Partnerships with experience with a proven track record in the partnership management in music and/or fashion industry. 

This role will require a high level of creativity, strategic planning and a deep understanding of the industries we work with. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the success of the partnership lifecycle, from identifying potential partners to negotiation, implementation and ongoing management. In this role you’ll work closely with senior leadership to align partnership strategies with business objectives and will be responsible for reporting on partnership performance and outcomes. 

We are a small and lean team and are looking for a strong, self-starter to help lead and build an all-star partnerships team. You will be working closely with our sales and marketing teams to create effective strategies to grow our roster of partners and support our existing partners. 

Our staff is currently spread between North America and Asia with a focus on Japan. This position is remote and meetings are regularly scheduled in the US and Japan time zones. Flexibility in meeting hours will be required and travel is also mandatory a few times a year for onboarding, in-person planning sessions, client support, and conferences. Salary will be adjusted for location, cost of living, and experience. Responsibilities:

Work closely with our C-suite team to design and implement our global partnership strategy and pipeline.
Negotiate efficient partnership agreements leveraging knowledge of industry standards and the Legitimate brand to drive discussions
Lead cross-functional partnership briefings, collaborating with each team to build comprehensive plans for each activation 
Be a brand advocate by establishing and managing relationships across major brand partners to create meaningful, impactful and original activations
Manage the partner execution of co-marketing campaigns through the launch of cross-functional initiatives
Communicate partner needs and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure programs are developed and delivered on time and in budget
Build a comprehensive data and analytics capability to measure all partnership campaigns and initiatives, so the team can iterate using key insights and learn from past results to drive successful future campaigns. 

Qualifications:

Minimum 5+ years in partnerships or business development (or related field), with a focus on technology, music, fashion, lifestyle marketing and/or entertainment
Superior project management skills, including organization and detail orientation and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks efficiently
Able to develop and move projects forward independently and autonomouslyHigh resourcefulness with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
High-proficiency in implementing leading martech platforms like Google Ads, Sprout Social, Iterable, HubSpot, and Notion
Data-obsessed and highly proficient with using marketing and product analytics platforms to help inform new and iterate on existing strategies
Master networker with the ability to build and cultivate relationships

Nice to Have:

Experience in PR and communications, with skills to build and maintain strong relationships with journalists and reporters
Strong passion and understanding of the fashion/retail, music, and/or sports industry and knowledge of leading trends
Strong passion and understanding of blockchain technologies, smart contracts, decentralized applications (DApps)
