Oracle Developer (in-house / Tech Hub)

ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a Fortune 500 firm, leader at its domain, is looking for an experienced Oracle Developer.

Our client has a Tech Hub in Athens with more than 60 employees and the Hub provides IT Services across all corporate functions of the organization in Europe & the USA.

 

📌 Location: Athens, North sector (walking distance to metro station)

📍 Working Model: Hybrid working model (3 days office, 2 remote)

🖋️You will be reporting directly to the Enterprise Applications Manager

 

What you will do:

You will lead all Enterprise projects related to the Oracle ERP system. You will be responsible end to end for the development and support of new and existing customizations, integrations and packages. You will be working closely with vendors and internal teams to enhance performance and functionality.

More specifically you will

  • Develop, test, and maintain custom views, interfaces, and packages.
  • Support new module implementations, integrate legacy data, and assist with application setup.
  • Design and implement scalable solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Research and recommend emerging technologies to enhance system flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze and resolve issues in existing applications and customizations, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Document business processes, review projects for compliance with architectural standards, and contribute to system capacity planning.
  • Develop and enforce policies for system standardization, software distribution, and patch management.
  • Work with vendors to maintain and enhance customizations while engaging with end-users and management to define business requirements and optimize system functionality. 

  • A BSc/MSc in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong experience in Enterprise or large-scale SW Development in Oracle technologies
  • Strong experience in Oracle R12 development, including customization and integration
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL, Oracle Forms, Reports, Workflow, and APIs
  • Strong experience with Linux shell scripting and SQL
  • Demonstrated experience with business requirements gathering and analysis
  • Hands-on experience with data migration, system architecture, and performance tuning
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex applications and provide technical support
  • Experience working with vendors and managing software deployment processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders in English 

 

Will be considered a strong asset any of the following:

  • Experience with a wide range of Oracle 11i and R12 modules
  • ERP experience in inventory, costing, bill of material, routers, purchasing/receiving, shipping, order management and financials
  • Experience in BI Publisher, Discoverer and Oracle Reports, Oracle Apex, Oracle Advanced Queuing, Excel4Apps
  • Certification as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer OCA
