Repair Technician

As a Repair Technician at Transco Railway Products, Inc., your primary responsibility is to perform basic repairs on railcar components made from metal or other weldable materials. You'll work with layouts, work orders, and schematics to ensure high-quality repairs. Additional tasks include using a range of tools, conducting air brake tests, and maintaining a clean work environment. By collaborating with your team, you will help maintain the integrity and safety of our fleet.

To become a Repair Technician at Transco, no extensive experience is necessary; however, a willingness to learn and a proactive attitude will go a long way. Candidates should be able to read specifications and blueprints, possess basic mechanical skills, and be comfortable working with various tools. Physically, you should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform activities such as climbing and walking. We also require candidates to pass a drug screen and physical assessment.

As a Repair Technician at Transco, you'll have access to a variety of tools and equipment necessary for performing repairs. This includes pneumatic and hydraulic tools, grinders, jacks, welders, cutting torches, forklifts, and cranes. Training will be provided to ensure that you are comfortable and safety-conscious when using each tool, enabling you to efficiently carry out your repair tasks.
