Outreach + Partnership Intern Responsibilities
- Conduct research on marketing and distribution strategies to gain knowledge of the competitive market; create presentations for case studies on previous successful releases;
- Conduct research and establish connections with community organizations, small businesses, and digital influencers for current and upcoming NEON releases;
- Manage logistical aspects of NEON's College Ambassador Program, including collaborating with students to arrange on-campus screenings, events, and marketing campaigns;
- Handle logistical responsibilities such as scheduling conference calls with filmmakers, coordinating travel arrangements, and managing film festival invitations.
- While primarily in Outreach and Partnerships, you will also be assisting in other department projects, including distribution, acquisitions, and publicity as needed.
Important Information Before Applying:
- Program Dates: The internship runs from January 13, 2025, to May (exact dates are flexible based on academic schedules)
- Our internships are paid, and offer a competitive hourly rate of $17.50. While school credit isn’t mandatory, we can provide documentation for it if needed. Note that relocation assistance is not available.
- We prioritize your commitment to learning and growth, and thus our interns should be available for 2-3 full days a week, which equates to approximately 16-24 hours weekly. You will have the flexibility to design your schedule to accommodate your academic commitments.
- Our internship is collaborative and requires on-site participation at one of our NEON offices in either Los Angeles, California, or the Soho area of New York City.
- Interviews will be conducted from October to early December. If your skills and interests align with one of our available internship roles, a member of the NEON team will reach out to you. Due to the high volume of applications, we regret that we are unable to provide individual status updates.

To be eligible for this internship, you must be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (Spring/Fall) during your participation in the internship program.

Eligibility:
To be eligible for this internship, you MUST be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate degree during the length of the program. You must be able to commit and be available for the entire length of the program and have access to your own housing and transportation to/from the internship site.

- Must be an undergraduate student, rising Sophomore, Junior or Senior and enrolled on campus for the entirety of the 2024 - 2025 school year
- A passion for independent film and a proactive, positive attitude.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Google Docs and Excel
- Willingness to dive into social media analytics
- Highly collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Culturally literate, engaged with a knack for research, and familiarity with social media platforms and creators
- Knowledge of current film trends and industry news
- Ability to quickly learn new concepts, solve problems, and implement solutions
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and analytical writing skills are essential
