About the role:
We are seeking a seasoned Billing Operations Associate who thrives both as an independent contributor and as a collaborative team member. In this role, you’ll be an integral part of a dynamic team, helping to shape and grow a cutting-edge commercial insurance product from the ground up.
You will work cross-functionally with teams across the organization, from Underwriting to Engineering, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment. As a key member of the Finance team, you’ll lead and prioritize critical projects that drive Nirvana’s financial growth and operational excellence.
Your responsibilities will include owning and optimizing existing financial processes that support both internal stakeholders and external clients. Additionally, you’ll be tasked with building new processes and solving complex, undefined challenges, playing a vital role in our company’s continued success.
What you’ll do:
Own the entire Insurance Audit process and be responsible for the automation, efficiency and accuracy of the process
Own Agency and Customer communications as it pertains to Audits
Partner with Product team to help build and implement new Finance workflows that scale as our organization grows
Be a foundational driver of results for a modern day finance function for an emerging insurance product
Ensure items are invoiced and collected accurately and timely
Interact with Nirvana customers on a daily basis, servicing their unique business needs
About you:
2+ years in a finance related role (Consulting, Accounting, Operations)
Proven track record of attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written & verbal
Thorough critical thinker who isn’t afraid to make decisions
Self-starter who independently seeks out opportunities to learn & succeed
Bias-to-action - you’re not afraid to get your hands dirty & stretch yourself
Owner mentality - take accountability for your actions & results
Successfully able to work in high-growth & ambiguous start-up environments
