This joint research project is between Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and Imperial College Global Singapore (IGS). The objective of the research is to overcome the challenges related to the use of ammonia in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) so that SOFCs can effectively use the energy potential of ammonia and maintain a high level of performance and durability in the long term.
We are looking for two (2) Research Fellows to perform the research activities in the project. The role will focus on development of direct ammonia solid oxide fuel cells.
Key Responsibilities:
Literature review of SOFCs and the preparation methods
Synthesis, fabricate and evaluate the performance of SOFCs using ammonia as a feedstock
Perform material characterization of the SOFC cells
Perform studies to understand the fundamental mechanism and reactions in the SOFCs
Prepare reports and presentations for meetings, progress reports and conferences
Any other tasks as requested by the Investigator
Job Requirements:
PhD in engineering or relevant discipline
Demonstrated strong knowledge in the field of solid oxide fuel cells with publications in scientific journals
Preferably with experience in fabricating solid oxide fuel cell stack
Able to work independently to achieve the research milestones and tasks given
Good proficiency in English for research work purposes
We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
