Amentum is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented engineering Intern to support our Engineering and Technology Business Group in Denver, CO. Amentum is a global leader in advanced engineering and innovative technology solutions.
The engineering team you would be joining includes licensed professional engineers that are recognized technical experts in nuclear waste treatment, radioactive waste cleanup, environmental management, PFAS remediation and advanced energy solutions. Amentum provides integrated project lifecycle capabilities, operational excellence, consulting services, engineered solutions, best in class leaders and a reputation for delivery.
As an Amentum Process/I&C engineering Intern you would be responsible for supporting our engineering project teams with various conceptual, preliminary and detailed design projects.
This internship will provide you with an opportunity to build on what you know and apply your skills to bring advanced engineering and technology solutions to the most significant challenges in science, security and advanced energy.
Amentum Internships are designed to:
1. Introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
2. Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience.
3. Assist in the preparation of project calculations.
4. Assist in the production of design drawings.
5. Performs all position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Requirements
- Senior working towards Bachelor of Science degree in from an ABET accredited university in Chemical Engineering.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications.
- Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
- Works independently and collaboratively with guidance and direction from others.
- US Citizen (dual citizenship is not allowed).
Preferred Qualifications
Graduation May 2025 or December 2025
Working knowledge and expertise in MathCad, Excel, and Word.
Compensation & Benefits
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $25 - $35 (Hourly) (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
