  • Build partnerships between Pivot Energy and EPC subcontractors to ensure a pipeline of external talent is available to deliver the growing volume of projects over the next 5 years
  • Set targets and drive improvement in key construction metrics (e.g., timeliness, budget management, quality) in accordance with company Objectives and Key Results.
  • Oversee and iterate upon the policies and procedures governing the company’s approach to project delivery, safety, and project commissioning
  • Coordinate with the Structured Finance team to ensure that all project delivery work aligns with the needs and requirements stemming from project finance commitments.
  • Implement and maintain team commitment to high-quality data management within the Pivot Energy suite of software tools such that timely and accurate insights into the status and progress of pre-construction and construction activities are available to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all projects meet quality, safety, and compliance standards aligning with contractual commitments, client expectations, and company goals
  • Create robust training programs to build an integrated and adaptable construction management team, with a specific emphasis on team expertise, culture, and communications.
  • Steadily improve the company’s project delivery decision-making and practices through the facilitation of feedback loops from project development, asset management, O&M, finance departments, and other stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement across processes, people, and tools to deliver increasing project throughput while advancing the quality and safety of our projects.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading domestic project and construction management teams in the deployment of renewable energy projects.
  • 7+ years of experience leading dispersed teams in the deployment of highly complex distributed generation projects.
  • Prior senior leadership experience with the ability to make executive-level decisions, set and communicate strategy, and build and maintain successful relationships among leadership across Pivot.
  • People-oriented leadership style, with a robust toolkit of strategies to foster collaboration including demonstrating kindness, listening, empowerment, and respect for team members.
  • Demonstrated success guiding implementation, adoption, and use of business systems and processes for the oversight of large volumes of project-level data.
  • High degree of familiarity with construction practices, skills, and contracts, including experience overseeing contract negotiations for the construction of clean energy projects.
  • Firm understanding of project finance needs and how to integrate project delivery into financing processes.
  • Proven track record and desire to develop high-performing and engaged project management and construction professionals.
  • Ability to present complex topics and data succinctly.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Sitetracker, or similar construction/project management software

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES
  • Extensive knowledge of renewable energy construction work, solar equipment, and solar cost structures.
  • Familiarity and comfort with the deployment of distributed assets, including the rapid growth of asset deployment
  • PMP designation or equivalent project management experience.
