Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities and expand the company's market presence. This is an independent, siloed role, where the individual will take full ownership of lead generation, strategic partnerships, and market penetration strategies. The Business Development Manager will work closely with the marketing team to identify and execute go-to-market strategies.
Key Responsibilities
● Develop and execute strategies to identify and acquire new business leads.
● Research and analyze market trends to identify potential growth opportunities.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, clients, and stakeholders.
● Collaborate with the marketing department to optimize market penetration tactics.
● Prepare and present business proposals and pitches to potential clients and partners.
● Track and report on business development activities, pipeline growth, and conversion rates.
● Work closely with the client servicing team, ensuring seamless lead handover and follow-ups.
Qualifications & Skills
● 3-4 years of experience proven experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, preferably in marketing, digital media, or tech industries.
● Fluent in English, with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
● Basic proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) to communicate with clients and partners.
● Presentable and professional appearance, as this role involves regular client-facing interactions.
● Highly self-driven and independent, capable of managing tasks without direct supervision.
● Strategic thinker with market analysis and penetration expertise.
● Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
● Ability to collaborate effectively with marketing and client servicing teams.
Compensation
● Salary Range: RM 6,200 – RM 8,000 per month.
● Commission: 1.5% on every confirmed sales value.
