Data Engineer

A pioneer within the revenue management ecosystem, Revenue Analytics is an enterprise SaaS company that partners with hospitality, media, manufacturing and distribution, and passenger rail companies to solve their most complex pricing challenges. By leveraging powerful analytics and deep strategic experience, Revenue Analytics’ next-generation software delivers intuitive answers to help companies perfect their pricing, reclaim missed revenue, and take back their time. We are currently seeking a Data Engineer to join our travel & hospitality vertical.


As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, ensuring efficient data storage and processing to support our analytical and operational needs. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to support the integration and transformation of complex datasets into actionable insights. By leveraging modern data architecture and tools, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the accuracy and efficiency of our revenue management processes.


Responsibilities:

· Participates in the full life cycle of development, through definition, design, implementation, and testing 

· Collaborates with data science and engineering teams to produce optimal analytical solutions

· Identifies data sources, provides data flow diagrams, and documents source-to-target mappings and processes 

·Extracts data from multiple sources, integrates disparate data into a common data model, and integrates data into a target database application, or files using efficient programming processes 

· Helps build systems and processes to get the data into a format where it can be queried easily for insights

· Designs, plans, and delivers analysis ready data sets to production

Requirements:

· Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or a related technical field and 4+ years of relevant technical experience; or a bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant technical experience

· Strong analytical and data modeling skills, a deep understanding of database technology and data use within analytic platforms

· Must have strong programming skills with SQL and Python

· Good understanding of ETL tools and REST APIs for creating and managing data integration jobs

· Experience or knowledge working with Linux/Unix systems

· Experience with direct customer interaction in a SaaS based environment preferred
