Registered Nurse Oncology/Infusion

Roane General Hospital in Spencer, WV a 60 bed Critical Access Hospital with 35 SNF/ICF beds, 25 acute care beds, Level IV Trauma Emergency Department, three Rural Health Clinic and walk-in clinic is currently seeking applicants for a full time_ *RN for Oncology/Infusion Services.*_ Position would be as needed Monday-Friday 8-5 for direct patient care to include but not limited to: Chemotherapy and other Intravenous Medication Administration, Hydration Therapy, Transfusion Therapy, Injection Therapy, Intravenous Steroid Administration, Peripheral, Mid-Line & Central Line Management, Suprapubic and Foley Catheter Changes, Wound Care, Colostomy Care, Patient Education and Follow-Up Care, and Tracheostomy Care.

*EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:*

o Minimum:
  • Current West Virginia license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Associate's degree from a college or university required.
  • Two years of clinical nursing experience
  • Strong assessment and intravenous access skills
  • Advanced computer skills
o Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Five years of clinical nursing experience
  • Previous Infusion/ Hematology/ Oncology experience
  • Current certification as CRNI, OCN, BMTCN, or advanced intravenous therapy access insertion
o Required for position but may be obtained after hire:

§ BLS, ACLS, PALS
