The essence of the role:
We’re seeking a skilled Atlassian Technical Engineer with minimum 3 years of experience to manage and optimize our Atlassian Cloud environment, with a primary focus on Jira Software, Jira Service Management and Confluence. This role will be integral in supporting the transition from our current data center setup to a fully cloud-based solution. You will configure and maintain the Atlassian suite, including handling system integrations, add-ons and customizations to enhance functionality and workflows.

In addition to system administration and solution design, you will ensure that Atlassian tools are configured to support standardized IT service management (ITSM) processes in alignment with ITIL best practices. This includes configuring workflows, automating tasks, managing permissions and integrating with other business systems to streamline processes. You will also manage updates, backups and troubleshooting for both cloud and data center instances, while ensuring seamless end-user support and training. Your expertise with Atlassian add-ons and their effective use within Jira and Confluence will help drive performance and service delivery improvements across the organization.

This role demands leadership, deep technical expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, the product manager, and internal IT teams to drive improvements and realize the strategic vision

To contribute to this role, you have:

  • 3 Years Experience.
  • Manage and administer Atlassian products, with a primary focus on Jira Software Cloud, Jira Service Management Cloud, and Confluence Cloud.
  • Ensure optimal performance, availability, and functionality of Atlassian Cloud services.
  • Collaborate with product managers, technical teams and other stakeholders to tailor the platform to meet business needs.
  • Support the implementation of ITSM and ITIL best practices by configuring and optimizing Jira Service Management to drive standardization, streamline processes and improve service delivery across the organization.
  • Assist in aligning Atlassian tools with ITIL frameworks, ensuring the consistent execution of core processes like Incident, Problem, and Change Management and help improve visibility and control over IT services.
  • Perform system integrations, ensuring seamless workflows and data exchange between Atlassian tools and other IT systems.
  • Customize workflows, permissions, automation and other configurations on Atlassian Cloud tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to both cloud and data centre instances.
  • Conduct regular audits, updates and system backups on both cloud and data centre environments.
  • Provide end-user training, support and documentation for best practices on Atlassian Cloud tools.
