Talented, executive-facing, highly-analytical and strategic in nature; the Sales Operations Manager will be willing to get into the details to work across the business (Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and so on) to help shape the future Sales organization and the Sales Operations function. Based in our Portland headquarters, and reporting to the Director of Sales Operations, this person will stabilize and systematize reporting and workflows and may inform strategy in upsell and new business; administration of territories; and commission calculations through building the right activity and quantitative metrics.


What will you do?
  • Sales Data: Assist Director in oversight of the administration of Salesforce.com to ensure that all data captured in Salesforce.com is clean, accurate and relevant, and guide any improvements in infrastructure   
  • Manage and maintain reporting on sales and marketing metrics from lead creation through opportunity close to drive management, adjustment, and strategy throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • Work with Marketing to improve the quality of campaign activities, strategies, and tactics. 
  • Work with Sales to increase forecast accuracy and integrity of pipeline
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of sales territories and provide occasional analysis of territory alignment decisions. Maintain regional organization charts and territory maps
  • Support company leadership with regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly) sales reporting, including quota attainment, conversion rates, and win/loss reporting and associated correspondence, meetings, and presentations
  • Partner with Finance to manage and enhance the commission process including, but not limited to, preparing monthly commissions reports and may inform or assist with preparing annual commission plans
  • Constantly improve and optimize the sales process to create a scalable and efficient process that will support rapid growth
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for sales strategy, budgets, pricing, and compensation plans for sales teams
  • Partner with Finance for sales order and pricing approvals processes
  • Interact with related departments to obtain answers to sales related questions and issues pertaining to quotas, commissions, contracts and metrics
  • Other duties as assigned. 


What will you bring?
  • BA/BS or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years Sales/Sales Operations and/or Business Analysis experience
  • Previous experience in a high-growth software company
  • Salesforce Administrator certification/s are a big plus, minimum requirement is knowledge of Salesforce including creating reports, dashboards and exporting data for analysis
  • Analytical skills and advanced proficiency with analytical and presentation tools, e.g. MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to think strategically, practically and analytically


$80,000 - $120,000 a year
The above salary range represents Smarsh's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.

Any applicable bonus programs will be discussed during the recruiting process.

The salary for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, location, specialty and training. Local cost of living assessments are done for each new hire at the time of offer.
