Data Engineer

About the role: 

As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering data-driven solutions across a range of client projects. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands-on engineering with architectural thinking, bringing deep technical expertise and a consultative approach to complex challenges.

You’ll work as part of our high-performing Data & AI practice, collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders, and clients to design, build, and optimise data platforms using cutting-edge Azure technologies. Whether it’s developing scalable pipelines, enabling advanced analytics, or contributing to strategic data architecture, your work will have a tangible impact.

As a Data Engineer, you will:

  • Designing, building, and optimising scalable data solutions
  • Creating and maintaining data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Synapse Analytics
  • Developing data models and supporting transformation in Data Lakes, Snowflake, Databricks and Cosmos DB
  • Supporting data governance and lineage using tools like Microsoft Purview
  • Working with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Delivering dashboards and insights through Power BI
  • Coding in SQL, Python, Scala and T-SQL

Key Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft Purview (or similar data governance tools)
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud Technologies
  • Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory
  • Data Lake, Big Data platforms, Cosmos DB
  • Proficient in data modelling
  • Power BI
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, Scala, and T-SQL
  • Snowflake
  • Databricks

Key Personal Attributes:

  • Financial, People, or Project Management experience
  • Strong communication skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders and business ambassadors
  • Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and Azure DevOps
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Curious, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Solid knowledge of Data & AI technologies and trends
  • Strong business consultancy skills
  • Team player with the confidence to work independently when needed

  • Azure Data Engineer Associate
  • Azure Data Scientist Associate
  • Azure Data Analyst Associate
