Talworx is an emerging recruitment consulting and services firm we are hiring for our Fintech Product based client which is a digital invoice discounting platform by A. TREDS (Trade Receivable Discounting System) Ltd, a joint venture between Axis Bank and B2B e-commerce company m-junction. It is a platform which connects MSME suppliers (sellers) and their corporate buyers to multiple financiers. This platform enables discounting of invoices of the MSME sellers against large buyers who are in the ERP system, through a transparent auction mechanism that ensures assertion of the billing at competitive market rates.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced API Tester to ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications through rigorous API testing. In this role, candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of external APIs with our software applications. Primary objective will be to verify that data flows smoothly between our system and external APIs, maintaining data integrity and functionality. The candidate may also interact with external stakeholders to understand the requirements of the product.
Key Responsibilities:
API Test Planning: Collaborate with development and product teams to create test plans and strategies for API testing.
Test Case Design: Design and develop detailed test cases and test scripts for API testing, covering various scenarios and edge cases.
Test Execution: Execute API tests to validate the behavior and functionality of RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, or similar framework
Automation: Implement and maintain automated test scripts for API testing using tools like Postman, or similar frameworks.
Defect Management: Identify and report defects and work closely with developers to ensure their timely resolution.
Regression Testing: Perform regression testing on APIs to ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
Performance Testing: Conduct API performance testing to assess response times and system scalability.
Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of test cases, test results, and any issues discovered using tools like JIRA, or similar framework.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of APIs with different software components.
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in API testing and contribute to improving testing processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Proven experience in API testing, including manual and automated testing.
- Proficiency with API testing tools and frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of HTTP, REST, and SOAP protocols.
- Familiarity with version control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
- Understanding of security testing for APIs.
- Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus
