The Opportunity

TalkingPoints is looking for a mid-level Product Designer to deliver excellent product designs for TalkingPoints applications, support with user research and collaborate with the Solutions Incubator team to generate rapid designs for new concept testing. This role will report to the Head of Product and will work closely with our Product and Solutions Incubator teams to develop new features and experiences that help support improved attendance, family engagement, and student outcomes.

This is an ideal opportunity for a passionate and mission-driven designer who is eager to make a tangible impact in the education sector. In this role, you will:

  • Deliver high quality feature designs at a fast pace, collaborating with product and engineering to execute on the product roadmap
  • Translate feature requirements into UX designs, creating elegant and simple solutions to complex challenges
  • Collaborate with other designers to deliver a holistic UX for all TalkingPoints applications
  • Conduct user research to inform product design

Who You Are

  • You have 3+ years experience designing K12 EdTech products.
  • Designing UX in both mobile and web applications
  • Utilizing design systems and components for efficiency and consistency
  • Interviewing customers and conducting user research
  • Using Figma to create wireframes, prototypes, and high fidelity mock-ups
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams that deliver quality products
  • Enjoy identifying and solving problems

This role will be a 5-month contract position working 40 hours/week with an hourly rate of $60 - $65 depending on experience. This is a temporary position covering for an employee on parental leave, expected to last from mid-May to the end of October.
