Position Overview
The Director of Experience & Effectiveness will play a key role in ensuring that institutional processes, such as, recruitment, performance management, and employee engagement, are measured, effective, and fair. This role will lead efforts to improve organizational processes by leveraging data, mitigating bias, and enhancing decision-making transparency while ensuring alignment with institutional values.
By collaborating across the institution, the Director will help define how success is measured, develop effective evaluation strategies, and apply insights to enhance processes that impact employees and students alike. A key priority of this role is ensuring that assessment and decision-making mechanisms are structured, objective, and rooted in best practices, building trust and credibility across the organization.
This position requires a strong background in human resources, organizational effectiveness, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate is someone who values universal approaches to process improvement and is committed to enhancing fairness in measurable, practical ways.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Evaluation
● Establish clear methodologies for collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to improve organizational people processes.
● Partner with key stakeholders to determine what data should be collected and how to ensure its accuracy and relevance.
● Use data insights to support leaders in making informed, objective decisions that align with institutional priorities.
Improving Process Effectiveness
● Assess and refine people-related processes, including recruitment, performance management, and employee engagement, to reduce bias, randomness, and subjectivity.
● Develop structured, transparent frameworks for institutional decision-making, fostering trust and consistency.
● Implement strategies that enhance efficiency and effectiveness across organizational functions.
Employee Surveys & Assessments
● Design and administer employee and student surveys that align with institutional goals and values.
● Utilize industry best practices to analyze survey results, extract actionable insights, and create meaningful benchmarks.
● Ensure survey findings translate into practical improvements that enhance the experience of employees and students.
Basic Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
● At least five years of experience in human resources, organizational effectiveness, assessment, or process improvement.
● Demonstrated ability to design and implement fair and effective evaluation processes.
● Experience with data analysis, survey design, and performance management frameworks.
● Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
● Master’s degree in human resources, organizational development, psychology, or a related field.
● Experience working in higher education and/or multi-campus organizations.
● Familiarity with bias mitigation strategies, structured decision-making frameworks, and process optimization.
● Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments to improve institutional effectiveness.

Compensation & Benefits
This opportunity is budgeted at $$85,000 to $125,000, DOE base compensation. Additional compensation factors may impact total compensation.
