Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop new software applications and tools, as well as major enhancements to existing software in support of enterprise-wide DLA systems.
  • Analyze system integration, platform compatibility, and architectural feasibility for new and existing projects.
  • Perform systems architecture analysis, provide software design guidance, and define coding best practices across multiple platforms.
  • Lead the full software development lifecycle from concept through implementation, focusing on scalability, maintainability, and interoperability.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure compliance with DoD security and architectural standards.
  • Assess feasibility and cost of proposed new projects and provide technical direction for project planning and execution.
  • Identify and resolve complex software integration and performance issues, recommending robust and future-ready solutions.
  • Ensure alignment with RMF requirements, DLA Enterprise Architecture principles, and Agile software development methodologies.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience:
    • Five (5) years relevant experience
  • Certifications:
    • One of the following:
      • A+CD
      • CND
      • Network+ CE
      • SSCP
    • Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority
  • Clearance:
    • IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 3 (T3)

We are seeking a Software Architect to join our team supporting DLA J6 Enterprise Sourcing, Medical and Contingency (ESMC) Hosting and Support.

  • Locations: Contractor site/Off-site; periodic support at HQ DLA (Fort Belvoir, VA)
  • Type of environment: Remote
  • Noise level: Medium
  • Work schedule: Schedule is day shift Monday – Friday. May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
  • Amount of Travel: Less than 10%
