Sr. Procurement Transformation Architect

Tonkean is the world’s first totally customizable process experience platform. With Tonkean, you can create intelligent, personalized automations that integrate with every app or system your organization uses. You can cultivate an employee experience that democratizes access to innovative technologies traditionally only available to highly trained developers. You can enable employees to focus more fully on high-value tasks, because you can enable them to automate low-value tasks. You can create inbox solutions that automatically analyze, prioritize, and route unstructured requests coming from any source, and you can track the status of action items as employees collaborate across teams to complete them. And you can design processes that employees are guaranteed to adopt and benefit from no matter their technical acumen, because Tonkean meets employees where they are—eliminating the need for change management—and is 100% no-code.

At Tonkean, we believe that all this—compliance, efficiency, operational excellence—requires high levels of process adoption. But to ensure high levels of process adoption, you need to create processes that provide a great employee experience: that serve employees’ needs, understand their preferences, and solve their problems.

To that end, you need a barrier-breaking technology partner. That’s what Tonkean seeks to be.

The Role

Tonkean is seeking a Senior Procurement Transformation Architect to join our high-impact ProcurementWorks team. This is a critical, hands-on role for someone who brings deep enterprise IT expertise and a strong command of indirect procurement processes. You’ll serve as a strategic partner to Fortune 1000 customers, guiding them through complex transformation initiatives that span enterprise systems architecture, workflow design, and procurement operations.

This isn’t a role for a pure technologist or a pure procurement lead—it requires someone with deep understanding of enterprise procurement systems (Coupa, SAP S/4, Ariba, Oracle, and more) and who can design scalable, intelligent workflows across them. You’ll be involved from pre-sales through global rollout, partnering cross-functionally with sales, product, post-sales, and engineering to deliver orchestrated solutions powered by Tonkean’s no-code platform.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
  • Lead the design and implementation of procurement transformation projects from discovery through go-live for Fortune 1000 customers.
  • Serve as a process architect, identifying bottlenecks and designing intake, approval, and vendor onboarding workflows.
  • Join projects in the pre-sales and kickoff phases, getting hands-one with customer challenges from day one.
  • Partner closely with client stakeholders, internal project managers, solution engineers, and product to align transformation strategy with business goals.
  • Bring deep expertise in indirect procurement processes and tools like Coupa, Ariba, SAP S/4, Oracle and other ERP/S2P/P2P/CLM.
  • Configure and orchestrate processes across systems, with a focus on how systems work together.
  • Translate complex business needs into smart, flexible orchestrations using Tonkean’s no-code platform.
  • Own project delivery, ensuring on-time execution and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Drive customer enablement, adoption and long-term success.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to inform roadmap priorities based on customer feedback and market needs.

ABOUT YOU
  • 7+ years of experience in procurement transformation, process architecture, and enterprise technology delivery.
  • Extensive knowledge of indirect procurement processes and enterprise procurement systems (Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle, etc.)
  • Experience designing workflow automation and cross-system integrations across S2P, CLM, ERP, and P2P stacks.
  • Strong project management experience delivering large-scale IT deployments.
  • Native understanding of enterprise systems architecture, APIs, and networking fundamentals.
  • Comfortable in the design and install phases of implementation—focused on architecture and process over data/config.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Curious, collaborative, and outcome-driven—you thrive in ambiguity and love solving hard problems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with legal, finance, or vendor management processes.

BONUS POINTS
  • Experience with no-code platforms, automation tools or AI-driven workflow tools.
  • Ability to go deep on configuration or data-level work when needed, even if not your core focus.

OUR VALUES
  • There Is Always A Way.  At Tonkean, we believe that nothing is impossible.  There is a solution to every problem - you just need to find it.
  • Think People First.  We believe in investing in, empowering, and prioritizing people. We work as a team and win as a team. We listen with purpose as we speak with courage. We believe in diversity.  We always ask ourselves: Is this giving value to our customers? Is this improving our team? Is this helping me be better?
  • Start With Why And Fail Fast. We believe that progress is the only way forward; that action is always better than no action; that innovation requires bravery.  We believe that every worthwhile “how” starts with an important “why.” If you know the “why”, and you can learn from it, It’s never a failure. It is the operational cost of progress.
  • No BS.  To matter, you must - stay focused, keep it simple and always move the needle.  We don’t have time for BS. We don’t waste energy; we prioritize efficiency; we stay focused; and we always try to optimize for what’s important.

PERKS AND BENEFITS
  • Collaborate with a talented yet humble team as we empower operations teams and eliminate mundane tasks
  • Unlimited PTO and flexible working hours
  • Remote office setup stipend
  • Tonkean provides each employee with a new MacBook Pro

$155,000 - $180,000 a year
