As a Shipfitter with us, you'll have the chance to work the first shift and earn up to $25 per hour based on your level of experience, plus an incredible $110 per diem for travelers coming in from over 60 miles away. This is a fantastic opportunity to sharpen your existing skills and learn new ones alongside some of the most accomplished Craft Professionals in the industry. Your daily responsibilities will involve the layout, fitting, and tacking of structural steel components as well as working on bulkheads, frames, decks, and other essential ship structures. You're expected to use cutting-edge tools like torches, grinders, and various measuring tools. To qualify for this role, a few certifications are necessary, including DBIDS, Firewatch, and at least an OSHA 10 or maritime certification, which we’re willing to provide to eligible candidates. If you can read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, you’re already on the right path!
